This is how you save energy!

Heating

Set the heating to low, e.g. at 15°C, when you are not at home or during the night.

You can control this manually or with the use of a smart thermostat. (PS. Yally will invest in smart thermostats in rental properties.)

This way the tenant can control the desired temperature remotely. Often we forget to turn down the heating or change our plans last minute.

Optimizing heating techniques ensures that energy is niit is lost longer.

A room you don't use? Turn off the heating completely here. Sleeping with a heater is not very healthy and by turning off the heater in your bedroom you can easily save 80 euros per year. Keep the entrance doors of rooms that you do heat closed.

Lighting

Much of our electricity goes to lighting. LED lamps are more expensive but pay for themselves in the long run. An LED lamp is 90% more economical than halogen and even energy saving lamps are a thing of the past.
Pay attention to the energy label: Dark green is the most economical label.

Let’s state the obvious: using daylight, a dimmer switch, turning off lights when Leaving a room or your home also helps, of course. ?

Household appliances.

Many appliances you use every day are huge energy consumers. Pay attention when purchasing appliances and always look at the energy label.

You can easily recognize the new energy label by the QR code in the right corner. Choose energy-efficient appliances (see image) and connect them to power strips to avoid standby consumption.
Replace less energy-efficient appliances in time.

Additional Yally tips:?

  • It is best to wash with a full drum, at a low temperature and during off-peak hours.
  • Hang up your laundry whenever possible because a dryer is a major energy consumer
  • Turn off the power strips because equipment in standby mode such as a laptop or TV also costs you in consumption!

Insulation

Last but not least!

The three focal points are the roof, the floor and the walls.

An insulated roof reduces heat loss by 30% and an insulated wall reduces it heat loss by about 20%. Thanks to good floor insulation, you will never have cold feet again and your energy consumption will drop by 7 to 10%.

However, good insulation requires investment. These interventions are not always feasible or affordable for everyone.

A renovation revolution is needed and Yally wants to be part of it. Renovating existing real estate into energy-efficient properties is Yally's mission. This will be done by addressing the outer shell so that the energy no longer literally flies.

PS. Do you own, or do you know someone who owns one or more homes that are no longer up-to-date and therefore have a poor energy score? Then you know what to do: you have to invest. If you don't like that for any reason and you want to get rid of this property, Yally is theé dream partner for you. We are happy to sit together to see if we can take over your property(s). The only criteria? The property is 100% your property and is located in an inner-city area or a suburb.
