Yally is completely immersed in challenging renovation work these days.

In the Oude Godstraat, right in the center of Edegem, we are giving a boost to our project consisting of 9 apartments and 3 retail units.

Completely in line with the Yally philosophy we take an energy-efficient approach with facade insulation, new insulating windows and roof insulation. This results in a huge upgrade of the energy score of the buildings: less energy consumption, and therefore a lower energy bill for our tenants.< /p>

In addition, we do not only think about functionality; aesthetics are just as important. We strive for a more beautiful streetscape that revives the neighborhood.

Circular single-family home

And that's not all. We are also expanding housing options by adding a family home with terrace and a communal bicycle shed to the apartments we are improving. Because with a school nearby, it is clear that the neighborhood needs homes where families can feel at home.

For this project we are working with Circl, which specializes in concept construction: most of the new family home is prefabricated in the workshop and then assembled on site like a puzzle. It is a wonderful example of digitalization, something we are strongly committed to at Yally.

The construction of the house will take place during the Easter holidays and will be completed by the time the school gates of the nearby school open again. A tough challenge that we want to take on to cause as little inconvenience as possible to the children and local residents.
