Your role in a nutshell:

The project manager screens the Yally buildings for sustainable renovation.  You draw up the first budgets. You coordinate the renovation processes autonomously from the preliminary phase to delivery. 
you are responsible for the follow-up of the permits, you evaluate proposals for contests. You will be assigned responsibility for several sustainability projects and strive for continuous optimization of these services.

As the sustainable renovation of buildings becomes a strategic mission within Yally, the project manager plays an important leading role in achieving results that support the company's objectives.

Result Areas

  • Screening of buildings for potential of energy saving measures with estimation of technical and financial feasibility; You focus on the sustainable renovation of buildings, with an emphasis on the building envelope and the techniques. You research both traditional and innovative techniques, in which you assess the technical analyzes of engineering offices, suppliers and/or contractors for their value and adjust where necessary.
  • Follow-up of any permit process. You conduct negotiations with the city services, supported by an architect.  
  •  You manage the projects functionally and financially. You outsource (parts of) the projects to external parties, whereby you continue to monitor the smooth progress of these projects in terms of quality, budget and timing.
    • Analysis of the measurement statement, drawing up price requests and analysis of contractors' proposals, together with the procurement manager
    • Drawing up (framework) contracts and supervising the appointed engineering offices and contractors in monitoring the timing and achieving financial and sustainable objectives.
  • You monitor the progress and quality of construction sites on site, in consultation with the other construction partners.
  • You check the budget and invoices and provide the necessary reporting to the management.
  • You formulate and implement process improvements to further increase quality and efficiency.
  • Guiding day-to-day facility management and following up on repairs and emergencies
  • Providing the right communication with your colleagues, builders, property owners, engineering offices and contractors 
    • You support the real estate consultants with technical advice; eg by making advanced technical and financial estimates and analyses.
    • You ensure a smooth site follow-up and ideal communication between the parties involved. You do not hesitate to address the parties involved about poor quality or inadequate project management.
    • You follow up the results and budgets of the renovations and report on this internally
  • You proactively follow up on developments in the professional domain and integrate them into your work

 

Scope

  • Reports to the CEO
  • Works closely with the Procurement Manager and the Operations Manager
  • You can count on administrative support for complex projects, or for parts of the project management that cause an exceptionally high administrative workload.

Profile

  • Master's degree in a technical direction, preferably (ir) architect, engineer or equivalent through experience.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in project management and site monitoring (planning, organization, stakeholder management, financing, costs/benefits, customer focus, etc. within a construction company, government, architectural firm,…
  • Strong financial and legal foundation
  • Broad spectrum of IT knowledge 
  • Independent and not afraid to take responsibility
  • Result-oriented and stress resistant
  • Hands on
  • Strong problem-solving ability and positive attitude
  • Thinks creatively about new products and optimization of existing services.
  • Communicatively strong, both written and oral
